06 January 2009

Meerbusch, Germany – KYOCERA is starting the New Year with a bang. Under the brand name TASKalfa the manufacturer of resource-saving printing and copying solutions is rolling out the first four models in its next multifunctional generation in January 2009. The new TASKalfa 250ci, TASKalfa 300ci, TASKalfa 400ci and TASKalfa 500ci incorporate numerous technical innovations that will set standards for reliability and quality. The use of Java and Web Service technologies enables TASKalfa MFP users to adapt them individually in their respective environments so as to make optimal use of them. KYOCERA has improved security features and comprehensive device and accounts management. In addition, the modern, ergonomic design ensures optimal ease of use.

The TASKalfa range consists of four A3 multifunctional devices, the TASKalfa 250ci, TASKalfa 300ci, TASKalfa 400ci and TASKalfa 500ci. Along with the name the devices’ new design will first catch the user’s eye. In an elegant combination of black and silver they set themselves clearly apart in design from previous KYOCERA MFPs. Special attention was paid in their design to ensure that the TASKalfa systems meet all the latest ergonomic requirements in terms of comfort and usability. In addition, the self-explanatory touch panel makes using them as easy as possible.

TASKalfa stands for comprehensive technical innovations

The name, the design, the logo – everything about the TASKalfa range is new, however the real highlights of the TASKalfa multifunctional systems are the technological innovations inside them.

A key performance feature of the TASKalfa family is their outstanding colour quality in printing, copying and scanning. The newly developed toner and the enlarged colour area ensure high quality reproduction. The new toner also reduces consumption and energy costs with its lower fixing temperature. The use of long-life components and improved paper paths along with intelligent calibration also guarantee optimal reliability and efficiency. So do the duplex unit and a hard disk of up to 160 GB. Depending on the model, the TASKalfa range reach speeds of between 25 and 50 pages per minute in monochrome and 25 to 40 ppm in colour.

The use of a wide range of security features such as network authentication are offered. The new TASKalfa MFPs will be available from mid-January 2009.
