KYOCERA STADIUM in the Netherlands

10 August 2010

KYOCERA MITA Netherlands is closing a deal for the stadium naming rights of the Premier League soccer club ADO The Hague. After all arrangements are settled, the stadium will be named KYOCERA STADIUM.

The stadium of ADO The Hague opened in the summer of 2007 and can seat 15.000 spectators. Because of the central location in the urban agglomeration of Western Holland (Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Utrecht triangle) 150 million cars pass the stadium every year. Every two weeks a Premier League soccer match takes place in the KYOCERA Stadium which generates exposure in national and regional newspapers and on national and regional TV. Furthermore the city of The Hague is host to the International Court which means international exposure.

Etienne Hendriks, General Manager of KYOCERA MITA Netherlands:
”We are very delighted with this deal. The stadium of ADO The Hague is situated at a very interesting location. Every year millions of cars drive by and therefore we expect to extend our brand awareness in the coming years substantially. KYOCERA MITA Netherlands has been involved in several activities at ADO The Hague for some time now and these will extend even more in future. This cooperation will be a chance to build a successful future for both companies”.

Dick Vierling, CEO of ADO The Hague:
“ADO The Hague is very proud that we can identify ourselves from now on with a multinational like KYOCERA MITA. In these trying and economically weak times it’s great news for ADO The Hague that KYOCERA MITA is willing to commit to our club for several years”.

ADO The Hague

Soccer club ADO The Hague (Everything Through Practise) has been playing in the Premier League for three years in a row now. The club, one of the oldest in the Netherlands, was founded in 1905. Highlights of their illustrious past are e.g. winning the Dutch championship twice and also winning the National Cup twice. Until 2007 ADO The Hague played at Zuiderpark, the old stadium that is still used as a training facility. Since 2007 the soccer club is the proud inhabitant of the new stadium at the Prins Clausplein, a practical and easy to reach location on the outskirts of The Hague.
