KYOCERA MITA expands and enhances A4 workgroup MFP range

Environmental and design improvements plus support for advanced application integration are key features of the new range.

15 June 2011

KYOCERA MITA Europe B.V. today announced a total of eight new A4 multifunction devices. The products comprise four new premium A4 MFPs plus four replacement devices for the existing KYOCERA MITA A4 MFP line up. The current range will see improvements to environmental performance, while the new products will incorporate full-colour touch panels, a new high speed controller, and support for advanced integration into customer workflows.

FS-3540MFP/FS-3640MFP and FS-C2526MFP/FS-C2626MFP

Designed to deliver the full potential of compact A4 MFPs to small to medium-sized workgroups these four new products (2 mono and 2 colour) incorporate a fast-response touch screen delivering swift access to commonly used features. The touch screen uses a wizard-style interface for ease of operation with vibrant colour pictograms and crisp text all contributing to usability.

Integrating the new MFPs into advanced document workflows is simple as these devices support KYOCERA MITA’s HyPAS™ software development platform. HyPAS™ enables the advanced customisation of devices via Java-based programming or Web services, ensuring that they can link seamlessly with ERP and document management systems. HyPAS™ enables multi-stage processes to be consolidated into single-click operations, improving productivity and reducing the need for user training.

Further enhancements to productivity are delivered through the inclusion of a powerful 800MHz processor and Gigabit Ethernet interface, ensuring efficient high-speed performance. The 1GB RAM delivers advanced functionality such as electronic document collation and Private Print as standard.

FS-3040MFP+/FS-3140MFP+ and FS-C2026MFP+/FS-C2126MFP+

Reducing power consumption is a valuable exercise for any organisation and KYOCERA MITA has done just that by incorporating White LED illumination for copying and scanning into its existing A4 MFP devices. Power consumption has been reduced by up to 8% compared with the preceding models, and mercury has been eliminated from the devices, thereby reducing their environmental impact.

Document confidentiality and accounting facilities are key concerns for today’s organisations, particularly when devices are shared within a workgroup. To meet these needs KYOCERA MITA’s A4 MFP range now offers optional support for multiple card authentication systems.

The upgraded A4 MFPs will be styled in pure white and midnight blue, making them consistent with the new range. To distinguish from the preceding models the enhanced devices will carry a “+” suffix.

All of the products offer print, copy and scan functionality as standard, with fax included on the FS-3140MFP/FS-3640MFP and FS-C2126MFP/FS-C2626MFP. They are based on KYOCERA MITA’s award winning ECOSYS long life print technology, which ensures high reliability and low lifetime costs.
