Kyocera Document Solutions, one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, is proud to announce the next generation of colour multifunction devices featuring enhanced ease of use and efficiency of output. The four new A3 products -TASKalfa 3051ci, TASKalfa 3551ci, TASKalfa 4551ci and TASKalfa 5551ci have superior colour quality designed to ensure any documents stand out above the rest, and offer advanced features and functions to enable a fully customisable workflow.

All 4 MFPs have a user-friendly design and are fast, with speeds from 30ppm to 55ppm, time to first copy of 4.5 seconds, and fast scanning and finishing speeds meaning the machines are extremely productive. Kyocera‘s HyPASTM software platform ensures that each device can meet the requirements of the demanding office environment, allowing easy interface with business applications such as Document Management Systems (DMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). In addition, the colour operation panel is adjustable and encompasses ‘touch and swipe’ functionality similar to that in mobile phones, and the 4 integrated USB slots allow connection of additional devices such as IC Card reader, USB keyboard or USB stick.

The latest security standards have been adopted. Password policy can be defined and managed by the administrator ensuring security level and password complexity is defined. TASKalfa 5551ci series are equipped with IPsec and PDF encryption as standard.

Showcase your business

Professional colour printing is mandatory for businesses wanting to stand above the rest and with up to 6 customisable colour tables Kyocera makes certain you get the colour you want by ensuring that colour matching is accurate. With an optional Fiery controller this new family of TASKalfa A3 MFPs can be enhanced to output professional images which cater for the more demanding requirements of marketing and print for pay environments.

Individual paper handling and finishing options have been incorporated, with a paper capacity of 7650 sheets at up to 300gsm, booklet and tri-folding features, meaning large volumes can be printed uninterrupted while any special paper sizes from 140 x 182 mm to 305 x 457 mm and banner paper can be easily handled with maximum productivity.

Maximum uptime is important because any drop in productivity leads to deadlines being missed, so a number of advances to the design of the device have been made; set up has been reduced to just 5 minutes and even firmware updates are hassle free. “Our partners can rest assured that not only have we worked to ensure consistency of high quality colour output, we have also worked hard to ensure the machine is straightforward to support.” explains Bernhard Koll, Product Manager Kyocera Document Solutions Europe.

Environmental responsibility is always a top priority for Kyocera and key advances such as low energy consumption, sleep modes and a low power mode have resulted in a tremendous lowering of TEC* values by up to 50%. The TASKalfa 5551ci series comes as standard with long life components and the 600,000 page drum, reducing overall running costs, lowering downtime and preventing waste.

Koll continues, “The new range of TASKalfa A3 colour MFPs focuses a great deal on the way our customers want to use products, so ease of use and efficiency have been key design drivers. In fact, with 140 functional advances over the predecessor, such as the embedded OCR scan option allowing easy conversion from scan to searchable PDF, we have created a complete solution that is intuitive and supports advanced workflows. These broad feature-sets across this new product family allow Kyocera to fulfil bespoke customer needs.“
