KYOCERA UNVEILS THE LATEST BLACK & WHITE MULTIFUNCTION DEVICES

15 July 2013

Kyocera Document Solutions, one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, today announces three new Black and White multifunction devices, which build on the flagship TASKalfa products. The new TASKalfa 3501i, 4501i and 5501i succeed existing products with a raft of new features intended to aid smarter document workflows and maximise efficiency for small to large workgroups, with common technology across the range making the devices easy to use, configure and integrate into existing fleets via HyPASTM.

The new A3 35ppm to 55ppm TASKalfa MFPs deliver innovation for the modern office by simplifying the complexity of today’s document workflows, and are perfectly designed to cater for office environments with an average monthly print volume from 7,000 to 15,000 sheets across 10 to 30 users.

Flexible, productive and reliable office all-rounder

Reliability and productivity are key in offices with a need for flexible workgroups, leading Kyocera to incorporate broad media handling and finishing features. The 7150 sheet paper capacity means productivity can go on and on, with up to 6 different media types available at the same time, supporting banner printing up to 1220mm and even custom paper sizes from the standard cassette making this range ideal for cross department sharing of devices and consequently reducing overall infrastructure costs.

“The evolution to providing full solution devices has gone a step further. These three products enhance the TASKalfa range and ensure that flexible media choices continue to improve productivity because our customers want to print complex documents at the highest quality output.” says Bernhard Koll, Product Manager at Kyocera Document Solutions Europe. “This, combined with output speeds of 35 to 55ppm ensure that busy offices can run like clockwork.”

All print, scan, copy and fax functions can be quickly accessed via the new user-friendly colour touch panel, which has intuitive operation using the drag and swipe functionality commonly used in smart phones, and eradicates the need for lengthy training sessions. Kyocera’s HyPASTM software platform is easily integrated from the control panel ensuring the machine becomes a customised tool for any environment. An embedded OCR scan option allows easy conversion from scan to searchable PDF which improves usability; for example, making it simple to copy and paste text from the scanned document to PowerPointTM and WordTM documents.

Print more - Save more

Kyocera is known for long life components so it is no surprise that these multifunction devices incorporate the long life 600,000 page drum. In addition to new design updates installation time is now a mere 5 minutes and maintenance times even further reduced. Energy costs continue to rise, so up to 53% reduction in the TEC* value generates real savings and helps protect the environment. Reduced total costs of service ensure savings all round.

Koll continues, “These new TASKalfa products are a real testament to Kyocera’s commitment to overall improvement; from speed, output quality, usability with the smarter personalisable touch panel, to new technology which improves energy efficiency. All this helps make organisations more agile and a lot more productive.“
