Kyocera Document Solutions gives prominence to the IDC CIO summit in Vienna

20 April 2013

Kyocera Document Solutions, one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, is proud to announce its ‘Summit Partnership’ of the first European IDC CIO summit in Vienna 25th to 26th April. Kyocera sees real parallels between the objectives of the event and the challenges that CIOs face today. Kyocera will focus on some of these key business challenges, demonstrate the value of its MDS model and show how its worldwide presence and global experience ideally positions Kyocera to solve industry-specific needs as well as organisational ones.

Through a mix of end user presentations and case studies, the CIO Summit gives CIOs and Senior ICT Executives the opportunity to hear about the latest global trends, learn from ICT best practices and become involved in general discussions with colleagues and peers. With 120 analysts and consultants available at the 2 day event, all different viewpoints can be explored.

Kyocera will address high priority issues such as budget cuts, data leaks, a growing number of stakeholders and a rapidly evolving competitive landscape – the CIO’s life is not getting any easier and knowing how the business is spending is a mandatory requirement these days. Knowing what the organisation really spends on printing and reacting effectively could save as much as 3% of total enterprise revenue according to Gartner Group. Their research also showed that the vast majority of businesses are not aware of this.

Kyocera Managed Document Services (MDS) helps companies become aware of their document-related spending by performing a quick but thorough assessment of their current document workflow. Based on the findings of this analysis, Kyocera designs a customised MDS environment that will help businesses improve the efficiency of their workflow and save cost. Following the implementation of the new framework, Kyocera will continue to monitor, making sure it stays in line with the customer’s requirements and optimising when and where necessary.

“This event provides us with an ideal opportunity to liaise with leading CIOs from Central and Eastern Europe as well as Russia – a crucial part of our business territory,” says Hironao Katsukura, Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing at Kyocera Document Solutions Europe. “Not only does it enable us to learn more about the issues facing CIOs in their day to day business, it also allows us to discuss Kyocera Managed Document Solutions, our unique concept that helps their business cut costs, improve efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of their document workflow.”
