Growing Friendship Between Sarajevo Film Festival And Kyocera

The Sarajevo Film Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary and runs from August 15th to the 23rd this year. As one of the region's leading cultural events, it will be opened this year with the screening of the Bridges of Sarajevo, a documentary directed by 13 renowned European directors. Kyocera will again be one of the Gold sponsors and will support the event with Print and Copy Services.

The 20th anniversary of Sarajevo Film Festival will be a special opportunity to take a deeper look into the history and development of this unique cultural event which is recognised as one of the most influential film festivals in the Balkan region. Some of the best films from the region and world cinema are to be presented to numerous film stars and regional authors who will attend.

Dedicated to the Festival's 20th anniversary, the project ‘Bridges of Sarajevo’ is actually 13 short films by respected European directors (Aida Begić, Leonardo Di Costanza, Jean-Luc Godard, Kamen Kalev, Isild Le Besco, Sergei Loznitsa, Vincenzo Marra, Ursula Meier, Vladimir Perišić, Cristi Puiu, Marc Recha, Angela Schanelec in Teresa Villaverde), observing and critically depicting universal issues symbolised by Sarajevo.

Sarajevo Film Festival is the largest film festival in Balkans and one of the largest in Europe. It was founded in Sarajevo in 1995, during the siege of Sarajevo, and brings international and local celebrities into the city every year. The festival was visited by many celebrities from film industry, such as actors Angelina Jolie, Jeremy Irons, Victoria Abril, Hungarian film director Bella Tarr, football legend Eric Cantona and many more.
