Kyocera Black & White Multifunction Devices Accelerate Productivity

02 January 2014

Kyocera Document Solutions, one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, is pleased to announce two new black and white multifunction devices, which build on the flagship TASKalfa products. The new TASKalfa 1800 and 2200 deliver the essential functionality and performance that small businesses and department workgroups require.

The new TASKalfa models replace the TASKalfa 180/220. These 18 and 22 ppm devices offer an exceptional array of features including standard colour scan, copy, print, and an intuitive layout to the control panel, making them ideal for small businesses looking for a cost effective choice.

The TASKalfa 1800 and 2200 are built on Kyocera's long life technology. A 150,000 page drum means fewer maintenance cycles, thereby ensuring uptime is maximised. This is a key feature for a small business where in-house IT support may not be readily available and is particularly important in emerging markets where resources and budgets may be limited.

Georgi Grigorov confirms, "Russia continues to be a key area for us and we want to bolster sales in the region. The sales office in Moscow was opened in September 2011 and market share has grown to almost 8% within 2 years.”

Dependable and Productive

TASKalfa 1800/2200 expand on Kyocera’s user-friendly feature sets to make small business document workflows as easy as possible. The colour scanning feature via the twain standard enables users to easily capture, organise and digitise documents; a must have for any vibrant small office. ID Card Copy is a simple productivity feature, easily managed via the hard key control panel, that copies both sides of the source document onto a single side of paper in one simple action. This dramatically simplifies and streamlines tasks such as copying insurance cards, drivers’ licenses, or even cheques, saving money by maximising paper usage and time.

Keeping documents confidential in a small office or business can be a challenge which is why both models are equipped with the print box function similar to Private Print. It enables users to print confidential documents on a shared device by temporarily storing the document, on the user PC and printing by simply pressing the 'Printbox' button on the device.

Grigorov continues, "These entry level products allow Kyocera to deliver dependable and productive devices that are feature rich and support businesses looking for added value and exceptional results. It is not easy for small businesses in the current climate and these products deliver functionality and ease of use without a big price tag."
