14 August 2014

Kyocera Document Solutions, one of the world’s leading document solutions companies is delighted to announce that the BLI 'Summer Pick award' has been given to the ECOSYS M6026cidn/M6526cidn 26ppm A4 colour MFP for workgroups for the third time in this segment alongside the prestigious 'highly recommended award' for the ECOSYS M6026cidn/M6526cidn, and the A4 Monochrome MFP models M2535dn/M2035dn/M2530dn/M2030dn. The criteria for the awards are extensive and the Kyocera device outperformed the rest when it came to reliability, image quality and environmental features.

The Kyocera Ecosys M6026cidn/M6526cidn earned the BLI’s Summer 2014 Pick for Outstanding Solutions-Enabled A4 Colour MFP for Small Workgroups. These models offer seamless integration which is typically only available for much larger A3 devices, due to HyPAS embedded platform. HyPAS software is developed by Kyocera or third parties, even the smallest workgroup workflows can benefit from individual applications, which can be controlled from the intuitive control panel on the device, giving Kyocera true differentiation.

"To be awarded the BLI pick award for the third time for our A4 colour MFPs recognizes our continuous development in this segment is working and we continue to improve our leadership position in A4 colour MFPs (26-30ppm). The combination of hardware reliability and the unique HyPAS platform offers an extremely powerful tool that integrates with any network environment, applications such as MyQ that controls and secures document workflow and PinPointScan simplifies scan workflows. This makes the Ecosys M6526cidn the only plausible solution for small workgroups who need an all-around device" outlined Berthold Hurtz, Product Manager at Kyocera Document Solutions Europe.

The highly recommended awards were given to the Ecosys M6526cidn/M6026cidn, M2535dn/M2035dn and M2530dn/M2030dn because they stood out in key performance areas, receiving top marks in standard and maximum memory capacities and showing exceptional speeds for time to first page from energy save mode.

In addition, all products received the Reliability certification. Martin Soane, BLI’s European Lab Manager commented, "Reliability is one of the most important criteria for most buyers and Kyocera continues to excel in this area. We have come to expect reliability, but Kyocera just keep raising the bar in the reliability stakes."

Other features that made Kyocera stand out were the new KX driver version 6 which sees improvements to configuration settings and enhanced graphics to ensure fewer clicks are needed for superior usability. Excellent image quality including crisp text, combined with high engine productivity due to the powerful controller technology mean print jobs can be completed quickly, which is ideal for the demanding modern workplace.

Hurtz continues, "We are delighted to receive such glowing results across so many products. The awards validate our continuous drive to provide our customers with value, reliability and performance."

About BLI’s Picks

Twice a year with its Pick awards, BLI gives special recognition in each category to those products that provided the most outstanding performances in BLI’s exhaustive lab tests.
BLI’s awards stand alone in that they are based on a rigorous battery of lab tests that takes approximately two months to complete. The evaluation includes an extensive durability test, during a portion of which each unit is run at the manufacturer's maximum duty cycle. BLI’s durability test is unique among office product evaluations and uniquely qualifies BLI to assess reliability, a critical factor for buyers and IT directors.

Other performance attributes evaluated include ease of use, media handling, productivity and value, among others. Each product that successfully passes BLI’s lab test earns BLI’s “Recommended” or “Highly Recommended” seal and a BLI “Certificate of Reliability” and qualifies as a Pick award contender. Consequently, a BLI Pick is a hard-earned award that buyers and IT directors can trust to better guide them in their acquisition decisions.
