Kyocera's New ECOSYS MFP Family Goes From Strength To Strength

01 April 2014

Kyocera Document Solutions, one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, strengthens its ECOSYS portfolio with the launch of a complete new A4 MFP family. Four new 40ppm devices replace existing products and two new additions, with print speeds of up to 60ppm, enter at the top end. Two models, Ecosys M3040dn and M3540dn, feature an LCD display to cater for more cost-conscious customers and four others, Ecosys M3040idn, M3540idn, M3550idn, M3560idn, come with a premium 7 inch colour touch panel for intuitive usability.

These new multifunctionals offer unprecedented performance typically only associated with A3 devices, making them ideally suited to meet the demands of small, medium and large workgroups with an average monthly print volume between 2,000 and 15,000 pages.

Berthold Hurtz, Product Manager at Kyocera Document Solutions Europe notes, "We have expanded the Ecosys range to ensure our customers’ needs are fully catered for. Our customers can be assured of reliable products and significant savings. A new high performance controller boasts high standard memory across the family and our MobilePrint app and AirPrint ability mean customers are in control of document imaging wherever they are."

Besides a host of new features, the range incorporates Kyocera’s award-winning Ecosys technology, including the durable imaging system and up to 500,000 page drum, lowering waste generated during the life of the product. They also boast the lowest CPP in their class to further reduce cost, at just 0,68*1 Euro cents at the entry level and 0,45*1 Euro cents for the higher end products. Designed to meet New Blue Angel (RAL-UZ 171) and Energy Star 2.0 accreditations, the overall TEC*2-values have been reduced by up to 43%. The ergonomics of the devices are improved with quieter printing and scanning, making the working environment more peaceful.

The new family of products comes with improved scanning functionality and enhanced security features. The 75 page document processor and standard scanning of up to 60ipm give extraordinary performance, while A6 scanning is perfect for vertical markets such as healthcare and the financial sector. Security standards are improved with encryption of PDF documents; a new feature for A4 devices which ensures documents remain secure, even when sending via email.

The colour touch panel MFPs integrate seamlessly into a wide range of powerful business applications, each driven by Kyocera’s proprietary and scalable HyPASTM software platform, allowing customer's specific requirements to be fulfilled, while transforming resource optimisation and document workflows.
