Kyocera Document Solutions Presents New Professional Print Services At Cebit 2015
30 January 2015
Kyocera Document Solutions’ booth at this year’s CeBIT, held 16-20 March, is dedicated to improving organisations’ bottom lines. On display in Hall 3, Booth B20, visitors will find solutions and services that allow them to optimise the management of documents vital to the success of their business operations. Using actual scenarios, Kyocera demonstrates the potential for improving efficiency by means of document management process analyses and the intelligent life-cycle management of printing and copying infrastructures. Booth visitors will be the first to experience Kyocera’s new "Print Server Operation,” which promises to cut IT personnel expenses and the costs for IT management.
Digitalisation is ubiquitous and its reach is rapidly extending deeply into both occupational and social milieus. CeBIT is addressing the challenges and opportunities created by this development and has named this year’s event “d!conomy,” a neologism, featuring a combination of “digital” and “economy.” The exhibition will be a platform to discuss how digitalisation is affecting the role of IT departments, and possible solutions. In future, IT departments will be called on to contribute and integrate their input into companies’ business strategies and the optimising of business operations. There is a great deal of potential, as shown by recent market analysis studies performed by International Data Corporation (IDC), who found that 50 percent of managers and employees consider the continuous change between digital and hardcopy documents to be inefficiently designed.
The main thrust of Kyocera’s offering at this year’s CeBIT therefore features solutions designed to help companies optimise their various business processes. In Hall 3, Document Solution experts will demonstrate how to make these processes less expensive, more secure and smarter. Besides service and hardware solutions, Kyocera will also show ways to improve fleet management, archiving and controlling.
Analyse and conquer
Kyocera MDS assists organisations with getting a handle on managing their documents. The comprehensive service involves the analysis and documentation of document processes and workflows, followed by suggestions for improvement. Being that Kyocera consultants are external advisors, they are better equipped to objectively ask questions, make unbiased assessments and uncover potential for improvement.
Speed has always been of the essence when it comes to company workflows. In today’s digital world, this is all the more so. Organisations’ employees require constant and immediate access to information and documents for rapid decision making and processing. Solutions that permit the printing and scanning of documents with mobile devices from anywhere are indispensable in today’s environment. Visitors can learn about the exact nature and capacity of the solutions Kyocera offers for such applications at the booth.
New professional service made in Germany
Current deficits in the availability of qualified IT personnel, exploding in-house costs for printing and the absence of office and SAP printing resources for employees constitute a formidable challenge for IT managers. To help IT departments master this problem, Kyocera designed a print server solution, which establishes a single point of contact. It helps IT departments budget their costs more effectively. Another advantage that comes with the proactive management of the print server is the reduced frequency of incidents. In addition, drivers and other components required for printing stay up to date and organisations have uniform printer infrastructures.
With the implementation of Print Server Operation, Kyocera analyses the complete print infrastructure and suggests suitable improvement measures. “We show IT managers how they can fully utilise their resources for their business processes if we take over the complete operation and support of their print server infrastructure,” explains Uwe Götze, Director Marketing, Kyocera. “Often companies are unaware of the existence of this potential. We are taking advantage of CeBIT 2015 to inform organisations about our solutions and concepts for these applications.”
