Kyoto / Neuss - The Japanese technology corporation Kyocera, a leading manufacturer in the field of electronics and electronic devices, has extended its portfolio through the acquisition of the Nihon Inter Electronics Corporation (NIEC), which was completed at the end of September 2015.
The newly launched 2-in-1 and 6-in-1 diode modules will be showcased in Nuremberg at PCIM Europe (Power Conversion and Intelligent Motion), the leading international exhibition for Power Electronics, Intelligent Motion, Renewable Energy and Energy Management. These products are ideally suited for industrial applications such as general inverters, high voltage inverters, servo drivers, UPS, welding machines, elevators and commercial air conditioners.
NIEC has a proven track record in Japan and is the largest manufacturer of Diode and Thyrsitor modules in the Japanese market¹. The company has been a supplier for major Japanese industrial market players for over 35 years and has received a number of quality awards from its major customers throughout its history.
The product offerings enable high quality with better characteristics, such as low forward voltage, high surge forward current and low thermal resistance.
“Due to our extended range of products we are moving another step closer to our overall goal of reducing energy consumption by providing energy-efficient products to global markets, such as in-car equipment, clean energy-related equipment, industrial equipment, as well as consumer appliances,” states Shigeru Koyama, European President of Kyocera Fineceramics.
